As the chairman of the U.S.-India Political Action Committee (USINPAC), Sanjay Puri represents the interests of more than 2.5 million Indian Americans with a unified, consistent voice. For more than a decade, he and other USINPAC officials have worked closely with members of the federal government to raise important issues related to the health, security, and wellbeing of Indian Americans. USINPAC has spearheaded initiatives related to a wide range of concerns, from immigration policy to renewable energy. Some of Sanjay Puri’s most significant achievements with the organization include the passage of the U.S.-India Civil Nuclear Agreement and securitization of aid restrictions for Pakistan following the 2011 attacks on Mumbai.

Alongside his work with USINPAC, Sanjay Puri presides over the Alliance for U.S.-India Business, which he founded to improve trade and investment relations between the two nations. He established a Congressional taskforce to concentrate on this issue and held the first-ever U.S. Congressional India Renewable Energy Conference on Capitol Hill, which allowed government officials to explore the economic implications of renewable energy development. In 2011 and 2013, Sanjay Puri held education conclaves that attracted some of the largest numbers of attendees on record.

An accomplished entrepreneur, Mr. Puri founded Optimos, Inc., two decades ago and has grown it into a major technology solutions provider for both public and private organizations. He created the company with a grant from the National Institutes of Health and has worked on behalf of several major federal organizations. Through Optimos, he connects individuals to industry-leading technology implemented in a reliable, accessible manner. He serves as Optimos’ chairman of the Board and CEO.
