Sanjeev Torvi

I am a University of North Carolina at Charlotte master student, seeking an engineering internship for summer employment while working toward a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree. An internship interests me simply because my education grants me exposure to engineering from the student standpoint exclusively. The employee perspective can provide me with experience that cannot be taught in textbooks, allowing for a substantial gain in knowledge in the engineering field prior to completing my degree. As you can see from my enclosed resume, I have a Bachelor of Engineering degree from University of Pune, India in May 2008. My senior project was sponsored by TATA Motors Ltd. which included design and manufacturing of gearbox-engine assembly system. Since then, I worked with two companies namely, TATA Motors Ltd. and Mahindra Ugine Steel Co. Ltd. In these two years I have done well as a trainee engineer and support service engineer. My pursuit for design and analysis has made me shift my background from production and has thus brought me here. I am currently enrolled in the College of Engineering and have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.66 on an unweighted 4.0 scale. I have currently taken up courses in finite element method and applications, partial differential equations, elasticity etc. I am also using ABAQUS 6.10 as the FEM tool. I have hands on experience in solid modeling as my senior project included design. CATIA V5 R16 was used as a design tool. I am certain I could make significant contributions to your organization. I hope that you find me suitable for an internship position within your department. If you need any further information from me, or have any questions about me, please call me at 980-254-3108 or e-mail me at storvi@uncc.edu. Sincerely, Sanjeev Torvi.
