Sanket Ankushrao

Ankushrao is a filmmaker, musician, and Singer-songwriter currently living in Mumbai, Maharashtra - India. His interests range from music to technology.

Ankushrao started his career as a rapper in 2020 after being told by his friends to write a small verse of rap. He then wrote his first official lyric Bhand on his desk at the office. And he discovered his talent for writing songs, composing music, and singing that year.

He is not only inspired by the underground rappers but also the biggest musical artists of the Indian music industry like AR Rehman, Sonu Nigam, Hari Haran, Javed Akhtar, and Guru Thakur. He realized that the song is not just about writing raps and making a beat, but developing in the process of music production. Song for him is a medium to convey his message to the masses, especially youth, he believes.

Ankushrao enrolled at Rizvi College of Hotel Management (2016-19) to earn his bachelor's degree in hospitality studies, but he spent much of his time learning and participating in theatre at Thane's Theatre Group. Where he explored the process of stage plays planning, set designing, and acting.

After graduating, he decided to make his career in Digital Marketing and he joined an internship and did two more internships to gain experience and skills.

The song Ankushrao produced is not just limited to the rap genre, but also Indian and classical music. He realized that just producing and releasing music isn't enough, but to practice and taking learnings from the music Guru. In 2021 he joined a music group and classes, where he practices the Classical form of music and tries developing his own musical content.

Also, he met many other music artists at his place with whom he had made music and one of them is LAIHT.
