Richie has nearly 15 years of professional experience and within that holding various roles simultaneously. He is an expert in economic development, particularly in the realm of international trade & investment, as well as international business, international education, and capability development. He has a solid foundation in relationship/stakeholder management, business development and project management in particular who has been exposed to a wide range of sectors and global territories.
Having lived in six countries, he has spent the last 4 years with PA Consulting, a management consulting firm based in London. There he has worked with both governments and multinational corporations primarily in Europe, North America and the Middle East. Richie has worked in others industries in the past, such as higher education, manufacturing, transportation, NGOs and retail.
Originally from the USA, Richie has lived in the UK since 2010, when he first completed his Masters in Globalization and Multinational Corporations from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) - University of London. He also has an Advanced Certificate of International Trade - Distinction from the Institute of Export UK (IoE). Languages Richie speaks includes Spanish, as well as knowledge of French and Portuguese, and a background of Tagalog and Arabic.
In his spare time Richie is an active expat and an advocate for international education, regularly giving advice to young Americans interested in pursing international education and work experience. He is the founder of Young American Expat and also director for Expat Rec Room. When needed, Richie is an adjunct lecturer in international business & trade, mainly for the American equivalent of ERASMUS in London, CIEE.
