I am a hardworking and motivated student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where I study Hospitality and Tourism Management. Concentrating in Food & Beverage Management, I have always loved to cook and bake in my free time, creating new recipes and improving old ones, putting my own unique spin on things. I also enjoy traveling, water sports, and reading. Currently, I work at a local cafe and bakery where I am primarily a breakfast and lunch line cook and food preparer, but also work as a waitress, host, and cashier. I have loved learning the ins and outs a small restaurant and business, and it has only confirmed my love of the hospitality industry.
For years I had gravitated towards hospitality without even knowing it. In the summers as a kid I would open up my own fake little cafes where I served my family lunches from my front porch. In the winter I transformed my bedroom into the ultimate deluxe suite for when my grandparents came to visit. It wasn't until I was looking into colleges and thinking about a major that it dawned on me - I like to please people and make them happy, so hospitality was where I belonged, and so far, I am loving every minute of it.
