Sara M. Alderson
If you had asked me about my career goals when I was pursuing my undergraduate degree at WPI, I would have told you that I planned to work in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry for a few years after getting my Bachelor of Science, pay off some student loans, and then return to school to get my PhD, probably in Immunology. Life had other plans.
My professional life has taken a winding path. From molecular biology through life science sales, I have found myself in an unexpected and yet amazingly fulfilling place as an Independent Life Coach. I have gone from having a well-planned out career to living out my calling.
As an Independent Life Coach I help my clients identify their individual goals -- personal, professional, or otherwise -- and provide them with the practical and emotional support they need in order to realize those goals.
My specialties include:
-Advising expectant and new mothers in decisions associated with transitioning into or out of the workplace;
-Attaining healthy work/life balance;
-Health and wellness;
-Learning to thrive with food allergies and sensitivities;
-LGBTQ - Straight alliance;
-Managing career and personal challenges related to acute or chronic illness;
-Taking first steps toward sustainable living.
I am passionate about life. I live in the Metrowest area with my husband, Jeff, and our two cats, Ace and Venti. I spend my spare time practicing yoga, prayer, and meditation; singing at weddings, special events, and in the car; exploring the outdoors; enjoying time with my friends and family; and cooking dairy-free vegetarian meals for my husband and myself.
