My life and interests revolve around early care and education issues, vulnerable families and communities, and economic development. Currently, I am a doctorate student in the Leadership for Early Childhood Program at Mills college, I participate in several research projects related to the education field, and I work as ECE policy and data associate for the Early Care and Education Planning Council of Alameda County.

I am a children and families advocate and despite my early childhood focus I care about people from pre-natal to 123 years of age. Failed agricultural and development economist. Successful educator. Teacher as heart, researcher at mind, but mostly an eternal learner.

From my days as economist, I carry a love for data but only if data can be used to help people. I believe that data does not have to be "Big" to tell a powerful story. And it does not have to be complex to be useful.

My life is also filled by: a husband, three cats, too many electronic devices, a loud Italian family (but they live far enough so that's ok!), many hand-written journals and even more books on the "must-read list", colorful clothes, and a huge sweet tooth barely compensated by walks at the beach.
