I'm a student pursuing a dual bachelors in Computer Science and Applied Computational and Mathematical Sciences with a focus in Discrete Mathematical Algorithms (it's a mouthful!).
Initially my interest in computational finance drew me to study applied math, but when I began taking the required programming classes, I truly fell in love. Writing a computer program requires an in depth understanding of logic and math at the most basic level, but quality code requires a comprehensive view of the technical underpinnings of a system and how various algorithms and data structures can provide the most accurate and efficient utility. Incorporating these important concepts while also accomplishing the stated goal of an application requires creativity and focus. As such, I have come to see computer engineering as more of a craft than a science.
