Sara Adamovich
Sara has been a special education teacher with the Northland Pines School District since 1998. During that time, she has taught and supported students with emotional behavioral disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities and other special education needs. She is currently the Learning Disabilities Special Education Teacher and Diagnostician at Eagle River Elementary School. In addition to her teaching/diagnosing duties, Sara is a mentor to new teachers, a member of the district’s leadership, crisis, PBIS and problem-solving teams and is a credentialed Professional Development Plan reviewer for Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction. Sara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from UW-Oshkosh with certifications in the area of Learning Disabilities and Social/Emotional Disabilities. She holds a Master of Science in Education from UW-Stout, a Wisconsin Reading license and a certificate in Louisa Moats’ Literacy Instruction. She is Wilson Reading System Level I and Level II certified and is a Wilson Reading System in-district trainer. Sara is a Wilson Reading System tutor to struggling readers of all ages. She is a member of the Wisconsin State Reading Association, Literacy Task Force of Northern Wisconsin—Vice President, International Dyslexia Association, and serves on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Branch of the International Dyslexia Association.
