Sara Barnes

I am a proud audiologist, dedicated to the advancement of my profession and care of my patients. After completing my Au.D. at the University of Texas at Dallas and my externship at the Boston Veteran's Hospital, I worked at a private practice outside of Boston. I enjoy all aspects of audiology - advanced diagnostic testing, rehabilitation, and research and am committed to lifelong learning in my field.

It is important for me to combine my clinical audiology skills with my passion for community service. Currently, I am working on a 10 week humanitarian project with SoundSeekers in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, establishing an ear and hearing clinic at a local hospital and providing audiological services at Bugaruni School for the Deaf. In addition to immense professional and personal growth, I understand the true need for audiology in all parts of the world and am dedicated to incorporating humanitarian audiology in my life on both a local and global level.

In my free time, I enjoy reading a book, trying a new cuisine, and having a good conversation with friends. Originally from St. Louis, I am a diehard Cardinals fan, and I still watch all the games. As for the future, I am always striving to reach goals, learn, and travel more. Stayed tuned- more adventures lie ahead!
