Sara Gauldin

Sara Bengston Gauldin grew up in a small Virginia town. Her parents taught her to dream big and to reach for her goals. She began writing at a very young age. She spent most of her childhood day dreaming happily.

Sara has always held the role as an outsider and an observer. A child of mid-western highly educated anthropology majors growing up in the bible belt of the south set the tone. Later, Sara, a Protestant child attended a Catholic school where she was one of a select few not who were not financially affluent. In high school, Sara moved to public school where she was once again an outsider. Her background and vantage point was very different from her peers. As an adult Sara used her technological skills to put herself through college. She works as an elementary school teacher where she is one of the only teachers who does not fit the label of "type A." As a perpetual outsider and an introvert Sara has always been the observer of human nature. That tendency and a love of the written language contribute considerably to her written work.

Sara Gauldin is also a wife to Edward Gauldin and a mother to her three sons; Trent, Peyton, and Cole. Her family is her joy, and of course, her writing.
