Sarah Birch is a Scot abroad, who has been living in Berlin, Germany since 2009. Having originally studied classical music at Edinburgh University, Sarah went on to gain a PGDE in Primary teaching and is in the final year of her Masters of Education (Leadership and Management).

She has since travelled a long and winding professional route through nearly 10 years of teaching in every grade level, before an opportunity at her PYP school led her into the role of EdTech Integrator.

Sarah has discovered a deep interest in exploring the role of technology in Primary education through integrated, transdisciplinary learning experiences, of the kind that keeps her awake at night thinking up fun ideas and researching ways to make them work. A key aspect of integration is working with teachers to help them gain the skills they need to give their students these opportunities, and this is something she really enjoys. She has also found out she is a huge geek at heart and intends to pass her passion on to as many teachers and students as possible!
