I guess when writing a biography, it is usually appropriate to start at the beginning. But what's the fun in that? Instead I will start with the here and now, and explain how I got here. This is my first year at UGA. Currently I am a Pre-Business major, with intentions of going into International Business, but we'll see how long that lasts. I'm thinking of going a route with more science, potentially Environmental Economics and Management. I want to be the person to solve the problems, not create problems in people's heads so they feel the need to buy something. We'll see though; I might forgo the business route all together. After all, how many business majors does the job market REALLY need? I guess there will be no way of knowing that until I have that diploma in my hand and I'm out applying for said jobs. Anyway, that's enough talk about the future. This is about the now. Everything here in Athens still feels so new. I'm really into the music scene up here. It's so different from the scene back home in Atlanta. Everything here seems so much home-ier, which is strange considering I spent the past 18 years of my life in Atlanta, in the same house even. I guess that will always be my true home. That is where the letter from UGA declaring my acceptance arrived in the mail. That is where I learned to walk, talk, and eventually how to drive a car. It's where I found myself after graduating from Lakeside High School this past June, and where I will celebrate holidays to come, alongside my two brothers and my sister.
