Sarah Cummings is pursing an MPH at The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health in Washington, DC. Sarah has a passion to disseminate vital public health information to communities. She brings one year in management and event coordination (KS), two years experience at television news stations (KS), two years in research (KS) and six months immersed with Public Health (DC).

She intends to combine her BA Communication Broadcast Journalism and MPH Communication and Marketing, to become a Public Health Promotion Specialist. Her areas of interest for Public Health include: family, children, church, obesity, physical activity, asthma, texting and social media platforms as communication to mass audiences, nutrition environment and secondhand smoking. Sarah has ambitious goals of doing public health work for an organization, pursing a doctorial degree, and becoming a television correspondent, host and anchor.

Sarah’s leisure activities include: staying active spiritually, physically and mentally; spending time with family and friends; volunteering in the community; photography and staying connected through social media platforms; attending live musical performances; and learning the guitar.
