The majority of my filmmaking experience falls under the category of narrative and focuses on the self. As a writer, I love storytelling, and as an intellectual I believe everything stems from who we are as people and how we perceive the world: the subjective. I usually work within comedy, drama, noir, and mystery because they are my favorite genres. A lot of my work is self-reflexive, and have included themes including animal cruelty, the human dilemma, and homosexuality. I enjoy manipulating stereotypes because of the amount of cultural coding they contain. In some of my stories I play to them as a way to create the look and feel of the genre, and other times I turn them on their heads to convey a specific message. I want to impact my audiences at a personal level by making them think introspectively.
