"Alright class. We're going to go around and share, first, your name, grade and one fun fact about yourself". From 11 years and counting, my fun fact has remained the same for these kind of classroom roundabouts: "My name is Sarah Park, I'm in (blank) grade, and I was on Broadway when I was 11 years old. I have moved 13 times in my life thus far, and my most memorable quick-stop to this day has to be New York City. My parents both majored in opera, and I received the once in a lifetime opportunity to follow in my mothers footsteps and star in A Christmas Story the musical on Broadway. I was able to be absent from school and did all my classwork at the theatre with tutors there. I still vividly remember the glowing shake shack sign across the street, meeting Katy Perry after one of the last shows, accompanied by an old looking man at the time...soon later finding out was John Mayor (LOLOL), and even performing at the Tony Awards. Although I am not looking to pursue music professionally, I always keep this memory close to heart because of how much it has shaped my lens towards people and diversity . Being able to meet so many different people and have such unique experiences starting at such a young age has been one of the few things I am most thankful for.
