With formal training in music at both McMaster University and the Royal Conservatory of Music, a lifetime of singing in choirs, and a specialized teacher degree focused on music and the arts, Ms. Parker is particularly suited to her favourite role—encouraging children to embrace music and participate in music, with joy, at all levels.

For over fifteen years she studied piano with Debbie Rutledge, Alla Zacareliand, Madoka Murata, and has taken voice lessons from TCC Director, Geoff Butler. Sarah also plays flute, and taught private piano lessons with Walter's Music Studio from 2002-2005. Currently Ms. Parker is pursing her Masters of Arts in Music Education at the University of Toronto.
Since 2005, Ms. Parker has worked as a Music Teacher at the TDSB, qualified for Primary, Junior and Intermediate levels. She holds additional qualifications in Special Education and English as a Second Language. Ms. Parker is actively involved in the TDSB Music Department by participating in ongoing professional development sessions, hosting a demonstration classroom, and mentoring new teachers.
