Sarah Rylance
Paediatrician and Researcher in Malawi
I have worked as a doctor for 20 years and am passionate about improving the health of those living in the poorest parts of the world. Every day, children in Malawi die from preventable and treatable diseases. I am privileged to work alongside Malawian colleagues to provide the best care we can and train the doctors of the future, but there are many challenges.
My specific research areas relate to lung health;
1. Exploring factors which influence lung health across the lifecourse and
2. Improving asthma care for children in low-income settings
