Sarah Sekula

Orlando, Fla.

When I’m not zigzagging around the planet — coming face to face with whitetip reef sharks in the Galapagos, carving up waves in Costa Rica or roaming the remote jungles of India — I’m writing about my adventures, the environment, fitness, health/wellness, extraordinary people and social injustice issues. In turn, my writing assignments have taken me to more than 30 different countries on six continents.

I write for USA TODAY, CNN.com, FOXnews.com, NBCnews.com, ISLANDS and Destination Weddings & Honeymoons.

I’ve also appeared as a travel expert on FOX35, as well as, the The Daily Buzz and Daytime TV, both nationally syndicated morning shows. I have also been featured as a travel expert on aol.com, careerbuilder.com, marketwatch.com, mediabistro.com and the Calgary Sun.

I feel blessed to do what I do! My travel travails have included dog-sledding in Quebec, swimming with sea lions in the Galapagos, hiking the tallest glacier in Iceland (and snacking on fermented shark afterward), scaling a volcano in Chile (and nibbling on barbequed llama kebobs afterward), snorkeling with Giant Pacific Manta Rays in Hawaii, learning to speak Spanish in Puerto Rico, surfing in Barbados, cuddling koalas in Australia, touring the streets of Medellin (once the most dangerous city in Latin America) and telling the stories of sex-trafficking victims in India, just to name a few.
