The power of the visual medium has always intrigued me and much beyond that, the very fact that little words can stir a person's conscience is exciting.

I make films because it tells a story, a story that you may have never heard. A story that will make you laugh and cry and for a brief moment, it will make us one. I write for the very same reason, the difference is, in the former your eyes are a medium. In the latter, its our minds.

I am a filmmaker and a writer, and above all a lover of life. I believe we are here for a reason, either to touch lives or to make a difference for yourself.

My documentary 'Scarred' is the second film all India to be made on the issue of acid attacks on women. The film is an attempt to bring to light one of the most heinous crime in the history of mankind, 'ACID ATTACKS'. It seeks to bring the viewer in close contact with the women who braved the tests of time, who have lost not just their face but their identity.

It is a message that must reach out to millions of people who are unaware of the gravity of the situation. The film urges you to lend not just your ears but your hearts to the issue.
