My work as I describe it to my 5 year old.

I’m a former Palaeontologist now working with education technology. As I completed my Earth Sciences PhD I discovered that my real passion was helping people to learn and encouraging them to engage with science. I moved from a very academic, research-based background into mentoring, learning support, science communication, and developing online learning.

I’m self taught in these fields and working towards becoming a certified member of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT). I work across multiple faculties at the University of Southampton in both grassroots movements and higher strategic activity to enhance our staff and student experience in education.
