Sarah Makaka

My name is Sarah. I live in the Bronx. I have lived in the Bronx ever since I came to the USA and that was twelve years ago. I live with my family.Six years ago,I did my GED at Lehman College. I very much wanted to continue with my education but responsibilities got in my way. I just started the CUNY program at BCC of which my desire to become well educated and who knows I might earn a Masters degree. At CUNY I am so grateful that I am getting all the help that I need in order to achieve this goal . I must admit that some things don't make sense now but I know what I know who I want to become. Several years ago, I worked as a babysitter. Although it wasn't anywhere near my dream job,the job helped shape me up. Another thing with the job was, it helped me send my children to school. I am blessed that my children are doing pretty well. I now work as a cancer care tech. at Calvary hospital. I love this job very much but this is not the job I want to hold for the rest of my life. My wish is to have a more challenging job. I am a believer and I strongly believe nothing is going to stand in my way now that all my children are pursuing their own careers.
