Sarah Polster

Sarah Polster was born inOshawa, Ontario in 1981. She has lived in various places from the city to the middle of nowhere and now currently resides in Port Perry, Ontario. Since an early age Sarah has been in love with the art of photography, capturing moments for her self as well as others. When she was a child it was very rare to findher without camera in hand, burning through film at an alarming rate.

As the years went by her life changed in many ways and unfortunately photography was pushed to the side. After years of working with the public in various jobs, her focus has yet again been pulled back to photography. She is currently in her first year within the Digital Photography program at Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario. Sarah is studying both still photography as well as videography and while she finds videography very intriguing, her heart remains with stills. Her inspiration comes from fantasy fashion, children and animals. Children and animals show some of the purest emotions, which is why they are such an inspiration to Sarah. Capturing emotions give the photographs life, able to evoke emotion from the viewer when they see them. While posed photographs are stunning in their own right, there is something captivating about a more candid style.

After completing her program in the spring of 2016, Sarah hopes to own her own photography business, and help others be able to capture their special moments and help their memories endure for a lifetime.
