Kia ora koutou, hello everyone

After a wonder-filled eight years as an active Playcentre member - learning and growing alongside my three pre-schoolers, with much leadership and communication training thrown in for good measure - I'm now embarking on a new adventure along my life's journey. I have written "Changing the world is child's play" - a book of many child caring and growing ideas for those who wish for the children in their care to make many differences in the world along their life's journey.

I am also utilising the facilitation, presentation and adult education skills I've gained through Playcentre, Brainwave and the previous decade of corporate IT project & programme Management to enrich the life experiences of adults - through leadership and communication training, team building, management and any sector facilitation.

My particular passion for advocating for children will see me continue to enjoy working in early childhood and education settings and further embracing my role as an Educator/Kaiako and Workshop Facilitator for Brainwave Trust Aotearoa and Playcentre.

I have a huge passion for helping to make a positive difference in the world through increasing people's understanding and appreciation of early brain development processes and the impacts of these on life in our communities. I have a focus on questioning and enhancing NZ's current parenting practices with the ultimate aim to reduce poor emotional health, greed, individuality, commercialism, racism, sexism, apathy, etc. and promote community empathy, action to help others, satisfaction with selves and situations (so as to have less need to take from or ignore others) - to increase the instances and depth of higher human qualities in our communities - awareness, love and responsibility.

Come journey with me...

Na te arohanui, Sarah xx
