I grew up eating sponge candy in Buffalo, New York but moved to Heidelberg, Germany fifteen years ago (better beer there.) I love to write personal essays and creative nonfiction. My topics of choice are all the lessons I learn the hard way, raising a third culture kid, travel, and trying to navigate expat life. (I'm especially interested in the idea of rediscovering the "magic" of living abroad when you've been doing it for a long, long time and things that used to reduce you to tears now get a "meh.")
