Sarah Cake

I am a mature student studying Bsc Sociology and Social Policy at The University of Southampton. I am passionate about engaging and encouraging people to enter Higher Education and taking advantage of all it has to offer you, in particular mature student parents or lone student parents.

I am also particularly interested in areas of sociology and social policy that are directly relevant to Women's welfare, rights and participation in society. I am also very interested in poverty and the perpetuation of poverty by failings within welfare states and the ideology surrounding them.
