Sarah Chase

Hi, I’m Sarah Chase, and I want people to connect.

I’m currently pursuing a Music Industry degree in Syracuse, NY, but I’ve spent most of my life in a small town in the heart of New England apple country, and it’s the place my heart is most deeply connected to. It’s a small but vibrant community filled with local farms and orchards, picturesque golf courses, and beautiful trails through deeply treasured conservation land. Nothing could have been more different than moving to a university with an undergrad population greater than that of my hometown.

Still, I think that people are not all that different. Small town or big city, we all have shared experiences and emotions that help us to connect. My goal is to harness the power that music and writing gives us to feel closer together. Through creating, we communicate. We find each other. We see each other. We connect.

It's through music and books and cooking and movies and sports that I've been able to forge small-town connections in larger places, and I hope to be able to facilitate the same kinds of connections with my own work.
