Sarah Chavez

Born and raised in Southern California, art has been constant in my life. I started drawing and painting in high school and then moved on to photography. My photography hobby started at age 16 and as years went by and more people asked for me to take their photograph, my hobby turned into my profession. I enjoy illuminating beauty in others when I photograph people. After stumbling around through college and achieving an Associates in Arts degree in Photography, I found a new avenue to take my creativity: filmmaking. As I am finishing my B.F.A. in Television & Broadcast Journalism, my focus in filmmaking is Documentaries. It is important for me to tell stories that I find interesting and stories that are less known to the public.
