Sarah Collins
Teacher in Haworth, Keighley, UK
My interest in complementary therapies originally came out of learning Oriental languages and working in Asia. I was an English teacher who encountered the effectiveness of traditional medicine to deal with my own health issues.
I learned complementary therapies and trained as a yoga teacher when I returned home. Over the years, I have built a portfolio of different therapy skills, ranging from Reiki through Swedish and Ayurveda massage, Aromatherapy, Indian Head and Thai Foot massage to diet and nutrition and Hopi ear candling.
I am a qualified Dru yoga teacher offering classes to small groups and one to one, with a focus on teaching people who have never felt confident about going to bigger classes or who have health challenges.
I give massage and Reiki treatments to promote optimum health and wellbeing and I offer natural beauty treatments, including Face the World facial treatments, aromatherapy skin treatments, and manicure and pedicure. My focus is on making the most of your natural assets, and correcting problems such as nail damage following extensions. Men and women are equally welcome as clients and students.
As well as running my own practice in West Yorkshire and in Spain, I am a tutor for London Therapists and offer their accredited professional courses. I have written several therapy courses of my own, including 2-day diplomas in Indian Head and Thai Foot Massage, and courses combining traditional manicure and pedicure skills with hand and foot treatments such as hot stone and Thai compress massage.
