Some people have minds like a steel trap. Some people have minds like a sieve. My mind is a little more like the sarlacc pit from Return of the Jedi - cavernous, indiscriminate in what it consumes, and unable to digest bounty hunters.

It's not a perfect simile. I mean, I don't have tentacles. But, all that consumption ends up being a good thing. I love learning - anything from history, to science, to religion, to writing, to pop culture, to the deepest, darkest depths of the internet. Even more than that, I love sharing that learning.

In my day job, I'm a teacher specializing in informal education. In my free time, I'm an insufferable hipster who talks too much. At least you get some good stories out of it all.
