Sarah Fahden

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Sarah Fahden holds a bachelor of science in information systems management and a master of science in information technology and assurance. She also earned a Russian language linguistic degree from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. Early in her career, Sarah Fahden spent 6 years as a cryptologist technician interpretive in the United States Navy, where she specialized in Russian language translation.
Over the course of a 25-year career, Ms. Fahden held various positions in the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, including Risk Management Branch Chief and Division Chief, Identity, Records and National Security. In the latter role, she managed 300 contractors and a $200 million annual IT delivery budget.
In 2018, Ms. Fahden founded Lightfeather LLC to provide consulting services for vendors working with the federal government. She helps align IT and business processes in support of organizational business development. As CEO of Lightfeather, she has also provided cyber and cloud strategy security consulting for the Transportation Security Administration.
A member of the board of the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center, Ms. Fahden enjoys traveling and working out in her free time.
