Sarah Hall

Hello! I am a senior Elementary Education major at Illinois State University with a minor in Psychology and endorsements in middle level mathematics, general science, language arts, reading and social studies.

I have a vision for all children to have good home-lives which is why I am a strong advocate for child abuse awareness. To fulfill this passion, I founded Students Against Child Abuse, a registered student organization, at the beginning of my sophomore year at Illinois State University (Fall 2012). Find out more about Students Against Child Abuse and learn how to get involved at https://www.facebook.com/SACAILSTU.

My sophomore year of college I also received an executive position within Illinois State University's chapter of College Mentors for Kids as the VP of Fundraising. In this role I had the opportunity to completely revamp the position during a time of a lot of changes on the national level. I created and planned multiple fundraisers to raise over $35,000 each of the three years that I was in charge of fundraising. To find out more about College Mentors for Kids on a national level and find a chapter near you, please visit collegementors.org.

I grew up in Danville, IL. I attended Liberty Elementary School, North Ridge Middle School, and Danville High School where I graduated in May, 2011. In High School, I was involved with Varsity Cheerleading, National Honors Society, Varsity Soccer, Student Council, Global House, marching band, jazz band, and madrigal brass.

As a cheerleader, I was captain my junior and senior year. I was section leader of the trumpets in marching band junior and senior year. I held a secretary/treasurer position in National Honors Society and Student Council my senior year, and I was one of three students to be the first ever Global Ambassadors for Global House!
