I am a practicing doula, currently living in Sayville, NY. I named my small business Sage Doula Care because along with the training and education, I believe that it is important to bring a strong measure of wisdom to my practice. By definition, doulas "mother the mother" during pregnancy, the actual birth and postpartum period. But the mission also extends to partners and family as it must. They say there are three pillars in our lives that must be strong in order for us to be happy: our health, our home, our work. Doulas bring their training, service, care, skill and wisdom to bear on the first two pillars. And in that sense, the wider sense, a whole lot of people can and should use the services of a good doula.

My interests and skills include cooking, writing, yoga, knitting, literature and the arts. I bring all of them to my doula mission.
