I have over 20 years experience working in the media, as a journalist and a public relations consultant.

I began my career with the Express & Star newspaper, based in Wolverhampton, where I worked my way up to Chief Reporter. I covered news in the Black Country and Staffordshire and regularly took on the role of an assistant news editor.

After eight years I became Senior Writer at the Shropshire Star, based at the company's head office in Telford, where my main job was to write features and comment pieces for the newspaper and its county lifestyle publication Shropshire Magazine.

In 2006 I became self-employed, running my own public relations business and working as a freelance journalist and copywriter. I have supplied articles to the national Press, including commissions with Country Living magazine, and I am still a regular contributor to Shropshire Life magazine.

I provide public relations services to companies in Shropshire and the West Midlands, helping them to grow by getting them onto the news, business and features pages of print and online media.
