"While some epiphanies are dramatic and sudden, most occur gradually and incrementally. We may not know for years that a single lecture or conversation or experience started a chain reaction that transformed some aspect of ourselves." -Chickering & Reisser (1993), p.43
I am an academic advisor at The Ohio State University focused on building relationships with students to help them develop realistic and attainable academic goals. Previously, I advised at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I earned my Master's degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University and Bachelor's degrees in English and Mathematics from Ashland University. I am interested in undecided and re-exploring, high-achieving, at-risk, and first-generation student populations, as well as the incorporation of technology and social media into academic advising, major exploration, and professional development. You'll discover that I'm a quick learner, creative thinker, and avid problem-solver.
