Sarah Huerta

My roots are in the Golden State, but a piece of my heart has remained in every home and land I've been to. Currently, I'm working in Lesotho, Africa on a temporary contract coordinating a project for orphans and vulnerable children. This project supports 4 Orphan Support Groups, where various life skills are taught using a holistic approach, as well as developing income generating activities. Once my time in Lesotho comes to an end, I'm looking to begin my Master's in Social Work with an emphasis on trauma and human rights, as my main interests lie in working with individuals and communities who have been caught in war and conflict zones, and other victims of violence.

For now, I continue where I am....striving to bring hope and healing through the Master Healer, wherever and in whatever ways possible. When not attending meetings, traveling to different villages, supervising, and writing reports, you'll find me with camera in hand, surrounded by children born ready to pose :)
