Sarah McBride

I was born in Miami, but by the time high school was over I was dying to get out. I moved to Chicago when I was 19 to study film. There I met my now husband, and also learned a lot about being independent and following my passions. I was very happy. Then my dad got sick, so we packed our lives into a 1991 Olds Mobile and made the three day road trip to Miami. After living alone, moving in with your parent’s again is not easy. Suffice to say it was an adjustment, but we managed. Eventually the old man got better, which was great. We share a house with my mom, my two sisters, five nephews and two dogs. I work in one of the better paying South Florida municipalities, managing the reporting for a grant in their recreation department. I hate it. I’m currently working on receiving my Bachelors in English from FIU and figuring out what to do with that once I’m done. I am a lover of the arts and a pop-culture enthusiast.
