Sarah-Jayne Parnham

My name is Sarah-Jayne Parnham i am 18 years old and i live on Canvey Island.

I am a student at South Essex College, I am studying Level 3 Media in Tv and Film, When i finsh in 2013 i would like to go to uni in London or Cambridge. My dream is to work in LA or Austrailia working on sets and theatrical make up. In my caree i would love to travel the world and i would like to live in Austrailia or Hollywood.

I work at Marie Curie Cancer Care as a volnteer i have been there for nearly two years and i really enjoy it as i meet all kind of people. In my speare time i love going out with my friends, i love going to my local youth club. I like reading newspaper and magazines.

Beening on the Student Council is a amazing experiance i have enjoyed every minute of beening on the student council, i haven been on it for a year and a halve now beening on the council has really helped me to shine as a student.When i stated the council i was very shy and not very confident but when i was elected to be a rep i wasnt too sure so i went to the meeting and i have meet really great friends and i am still friends with them know. I wanted to be apart of the council so i can be a voice for the students and it is nice when student come up to you as they know you from doing the promotions and event, student get to know you perosnally.

My five priorites for this year:

1. Listen to the student voices to find out what they want and they need

2. To work haro get what the student wants

3. Good organization- Planning turning up too meetings and organize my team

4. To know my team and student reps

5. Good communcation with students, lectures and guests i believe it is important to talk to people and beening avaible when needed also i will use Cspace, emails and posters to ensure everyone is kept posted
