The intention of “all things dissertation” is to capture my doctoral writings in the blog-O-sphere. I aim to make this process toward being ‘done’ with my Ph.D. accessible to anyone who wishes to contribute – I invite YOU to participate in crowdsourcing for constructive criticism, queries and advice or just your observations……not convinced, read the following
Three reasons:
1. Simply because the successful completion of a terminal degree takes a village! Otherwise it really will feel like a terminal degree for very different reasons.
2. According to a article in the Chronicle of Higher Education 50% of doctoral students leave their programs – and although attrition is a dirty word - “Attrition carries the taint of loss, failure, and despair”(Cassuto, L. 2013, para.3)
3. Blog space aims to provide a peer-2-peer research, debate, advice and community. Ask a question, pose a comment, contribute knowledge, share successes and frustrations – we’re in it together!
