Sarah Kelly

Sarah Kelly is an American journalist and television news anchor, who tackles tough and controversial issues, while holding the powerful to account.

Sarah is the Anchor-at-Large at Deutsche Welle in Berlin, where she hosts the top political interview show, “Conflict Zone”, and the flagship international news program, “DW News”.

Sarah has been a lead anchor at DW since 2010, adding depth and context to a range of international developments including the Israel-Hamas war, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Syria, the migration crisis, Brexit, and US and German elections.

She also regularly hosts high-level debates at global summits, including at the Munich Security Conference, the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, and the United Nations.

Sarah began her career at Bloomberg Television in her native New York. She has served as a German Chancellor Fellow and an Atlantik-Brücke Young Leader. She holds a BA in political science from Barnard College at Columbia University.
