Sarah Koestner

Jersey City, New Jersey

Sarah Koestner has taught for Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts and currently teaches Acting at the New York Film Academy. She also spent two years apprenticing with Scott Miller at NYU’s Graduate Acting Program.

Originally from The Garden State (otherwise know as New Jersey) she earned her MFA in Acting at Rutgers University where she trained under William Esper, Lloyd Richards and Deborah Hedwall. She received her BFA in Acting from Emerson College where she studied the Linklater Technique extensively with designated teachers, Patricia Riggin and Amelia Broome. Sarah holds a certificate from The British American Dramatic Academy where she studied with many members of the Royal Shakespeare Company and National Theatre. Her teaching methodologies include: Linklater, Edith Skinner, Meisner, Yoga, and Miller Voice Method.

Sarah is an avid hot-yoga practitioner, foodie, painter and extreme dog lover. She’s a working actress who has appeared Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway and at many regional theaters. Sarah is a proud member of Actors Equity.
