Creative, designer, webmaster, technical and marketing experience. Icon designer, illustrator. Artist. I started designing for screens in the early 80's after working on a book published in 1983 by the Broadcasting Designers Association, "The New Tools for Television Designers". In the 1980's I worked for a pioneer in the touchscreen computer industry, won awards for an interactive museum exhibit for the United States Golf Association Museum, created rgb graphics and fonts, and did programming of early interactive applications. An interest in silk painting led to growth of a small hand-painted silk business in the early 90's, with responsibility for all aspects of the process, as well as sales and marketing. Later I designed icons and graphics for Lotus Notes and other products prior to the subsequent takeover by IBM; the windows graphical user interface provided many consulting opportunities for my skillset. Collaborated with many wonderful Lotus workers and worked closely with Notes and other product groups. I spent 1996-1997 at Fidelity Investments in the Human Interface Design group creating style guides, web sites, and user interface elements. In 1998 I joined start-up Narrative Communications as Senior Web Designer and Webmaster, assisted the marketing communications group during the pioneering of an interactive online advertising product. The company was later acquired by At Home Network, who then merged with Excite to create broadband leader Excite@Home. Narrative later spun out as Enliven, Inc.
