Sarah Loyola

Teaching is my passion. To me, teaching is not solely about transferring expertise from the educator to the student. It is much more about making a lifelong connection with individuals. I hope to instill in my students a sense of belonging in this world, confidence in their abilities, and the importance of making ethical decisions. It also helps greatly that I love and am wholly invested in what I teach. I believe that through learning a language a bridge is being built to another culture, and even to cultures within that culture. Through my keen interest in educational technology, I hope to make my students’ learning experiences richer, collaborative, and more interactive while simultaneously connecting them intimately with cultures from around the world.
