Sarah Oneal

With my husband David, I host That Drone Show, a daily video podcast detailing the wonderful and exciting world of flying robots, That Drone Show is a must-see for UAV enthusiasts. The show has news, interviews, legal updates, product reviews, and more - all focused on multirotors!

That Drone Show has a strong following and they recently launched the That Drone Show Flight Team, comprising of 24 drone pilots from around the world that take part in missions which focus on having fun and educating the world that drones are good.

This message - drones are good - is highly important to That Drone Show. Bringing news to the drone community made her keenly aware that the majority of mainstream media coverage of drones focuses on war, spying and near crashes.

Wanting to educate the wider public about the many positive uses of drones, Sarah and David launched International Drone Day. On this day, teams of drone enthusiasts around the world will hold events and invite the media and non-drone users, to educate them that "drones are good". The first International Drone Day will take place on Saturday 14 March 2015, and there are already over 80 teams signed up in 30 countries.

Sarah has been flying since spring 2014, and believes that 2015 will be the year of the drone!
