London, United Kingdom.

With over 8 years engaging people in global injustices working for Christian Aid, DFID and most recently Oxfam & currently a social entrepreneur. Growing up in the fourth most deprived ward in the UK in the 1980s, I was brought into the world of activism from a young age as I experienced firsthand my community battling against the effects of inequality.

Passionate about empowering and encouraging people to use their hobbies, talents and influence to create positive change, I started doing craftivism (craft+activism) in 2009 in reaction to transactional forms of activism. Working with national and global cultural organisations & INGOs, I'm passionate about engaging people in activism in places you wouldn't expect to be provoked about global issues.

One of the leading spokespeople in the craftivism movement (The Times featured me as the leader of one of their 5 'New Tribes' of 2012) & shortlisted for The Observer Ethical Awards 2013 in the Arts & Culture section, I regularly give talks (Lost Lectures, TEDxBrixton, Sunday Wise, Sunday Papers Live) & offer unique services & products globally.

As a key Leader, Speaker, and Columnist in the craftivism movement (The Times featured me as the leader of one of their 5 'New Tribes' of 2012).I've worked with Tate, Hayward, Etsy, cult jewellers Tatty Devine, TOMS Shoes, British Library, Secret Cinema, Unicef and Save the Children amongst others.

As the Craftivist Collective gathers momentum, we are seeking new opportunities for content development and collaboration, scaling up and I am available for speaking engagements, workshop facilitation and third sector and arts consultancy projects.
