Sarah Puleo is a photojournalist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a partner at Gravy Studio + Gallery, a collaborative art space located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia. Being raised on a preserved farm in the New Jersey Pine Barrens led to her passion for environmental conservation. She is presently on the Board of Trustees for the Pinelands Preservation Alliance.

Adaptable and flexible, Sarah is a great traveler – she is extremely resourceful and fiercely independent. Sarah began traveling internationally when she was in high school where she spent two summers at home stays in two towns in Spain. Living in small villages that spoke dialects different from her Spanish language education, she built her skill in observation and learned what it was like to be the only foreigner living in a small town.

She spent twelve years attending a Quaker school, which led her to appreciate diversity and multiculturalism. Seeking more diversity from her small school education, she attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. During her time at college, she spent a semester abroad living in London, England studying cultural arts.

Meyers-Briggs established her personality as an ENFP, a charming, energetic and compassionate explorer who can make friends wherever she goes. People with the ENFP personality type are excellent listeners, able to analyze and understand others’ perspectives effortlessly.
