Hi! I’m Sarah Sotoodeh – a sports, entertainment and lifestyle journalist and host. I’ve been published on LAKings.com, Swimmingworldmagazine.com and Neon Tommy, just to name a few. I am also the founder of thepuckoff.com.

I have interviewed Kings alumni Bernie Nicholls, Hockey Hall-of-Famer Luc Robitaille, Glen Murray, Daryl Evans, Marty McSorley, Jim Fox, Nelson Emerson, and Hall-of-Famer broadcaster Bob Miller and trainer Pete Demers to name a few. I have also interviewed current NHL players: Mike Richards, Jonathan Quick, Kyle Clifford, Matt Greene, Alec Martinez, Kevin Westgarth, Davis Drewiske, Rob Scuderi, Simon Gagne and much more.

My love of sports isn’t limited to just hockey; I interviewed Olympic Gold Medalist swimmer Ous Mellouli. Mellouli, a Tunisian native, won his second gold medal and a silver medal at the London Olympics 2012. I also worked as an International Olympic Committee Conference writer during the Women and Sport Discussion in L.A. in 2012.

I have also interviewed professional BMX rider Anthony Napolitan, snowboarder Pat Moore and surfer Ian Walsh.

While at USC, I was the associate sports editor and hockey writer for Neon Tommy, USC’s online media outlet, which has the largest audience for a college web-only publication. When compared to other colleges that produce print and web publications, it’s ranked sixth. I created a weekly article about hockey, “This Week in the NHL,” as well as a series of player profiles. My recap of the 2011 NHL All-Star was the eighth most read article of the week. I also interviewed LA Galaxy forward Mike Magee.

I interned for two years with the Los Angeles Kings in the alumni, communications and pr department.

I received my Master’s in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Journalism in 2012. I’m also a recipient of the Micheal Jund Sports Media Scholarship Award.
