Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am a first year student at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

My top strengths in Strengthsquest are Developer, Connectedness, Empathy, Strategic, and Input. I believe that my top strength was Developer because I always do try to see the best in every individual person. I believe that every person is a continuous "work in progress", and that I can help others to grow by helping them to see who they are. I like to see people take leaps in establishing themselves and gaining a better understanding of who they are and what their purpose is. Few things are as fulfilling as finding your purpose in life, and I think that for me, helping people to find this is something I love to do.

As soon we were assigned the Ohio State Tradition project, I knew exactly what tradition I wanted to use. My friends and I discovered the "Secret Desk" at the beginning of the school year, and talking about it was a bonding experience for what are now two of my best friends here at Ohio State. I loved talking with other people about what traditions they chose to write about as well - it's wonderful to see how many different things have impacted different people so far!

Another activity that I really enjoyed was the Dream Job activity. I enjoyed researching positions for fourth grade teachers across the country and was surprised at the variety available. The majority of listings were for inner-city schools, which I definitely have an interest in working in. It was incredible to see the large variety of jobs available, and all of the different types and specific traits that different schools search for in their teachers!
