My artistic journey is more of a return to a former love than a gradual, lifelong progression. From an early age, I remember the joy of creating in art class. I received wonderful teaching as a child and young adult that encouraged me to test the limits of what I could create with pencil on paper and paint on canvas. My focus slowly shifted away from my creative education, however, and instead towards developing analytical and reasoning skills in business and law school.

During my graduate education, I studied in London and traveled throughout Europe. The grandeur of the churches in England, the power of the Cliffs of Moher in Southern Ireland, the colors of Southern Spain, the peacefulness of the Greek Islands, the energy of Paris, and the (fill in the blank) of the whole country of Italy remain inspirations for my artwork. In fact, my current portfolio captures favorite memories of these and other of my travels. Some are landscapes, some are people, and some merely express emotions felt during these adventures.

I am now returning to my former love of art after retiring from the practice of law. I am happy to be back.
