Raleigh, North Carolina, United States

Just a girl who grew up in the UK riding horses and now breathes life into the web in the USA.

I've been in the industry a long time. I've seen the ups and downs and have kept myself up to date on every conceivable trend. Of course, some I have selectively ignored hoping they die slow deaths. Thankfully many have.

My passion has always been around design. However, it's never been just about the look, it's always been more with how people use it. I had a choice in college. I could either take animation or interactive computer art. I chose the latter because I was more interested in how people created their own paths rather than how they react to a set series of images. Roles may have changed names through the years but I have always seen myself as a UX/UI designer. It's exciting and challenging.

I've been working remotely for 4 years and have been met with many challenges but it's a great way to work if you have the discipline and can get your peers to use the tools afforded to them to create a happy remote culture.

For fun, I love to play with my four dogs (3 bulldogs, 1 Am-Staff) and I love photography. I also volunteer with a local animal shelter to take photos of their foster dogs. You can see these and my other photography interests on my flickr account listed below.
